Liverpool will welcome Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday. The Premier League clash will kick-off at 4:30pm.

However, the Reds could be without right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold against the Citizens.

The Mirror has suggested, as cited by the Liverpool Echo, that the 22-year-old has potentially picked up an injury.

Alexander-Arnold has not travelled to Portugal for Liverpool’s Champions League group stage clash against Porto. The match kicks off at 8pm tonight.

No one from the club has confirmed as to why Alexander-Arnold has not travelled with his teammates.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We do hope that Alexander-Arnold is available for the clash against Manchester City. The Scouser is a defender by trade.

However, Alexander-Arnold offers so much going forward. The right-back has scored 10 goals and registered 47 assists in 185 appearances for Liverpool’s first-team.

Therefore, Alexander-Arnold is a player that we would like to see take to the pitch against the Citizens.

The 22-year-old missed Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Anfield earlier this month due to illness.

James Milner replaced the right-back for the day. If Alexander-Arnold is unavailable come the weekend, we do expect the 35-year-old to play.

On another note, we do hope that Alexander-Arnold is okay.
