Liverpool are set to face Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday night, which happens to be a crucial fixture in their hopes of winning the league title. With two games remaining and Manchester City dropping points against West Ham United in their last fixture, there now seems to be a path opened up for the Reds to grab the crown; given that the Skyblues do not win against Villa in the coming weekend.

The Reds have lifted the FA Cup after a 16-year drought, defeating Chelsea 5-6 on penalties after a dramatic and thrilling 120 mins of football.

Even though the Merseyside fans celebrate in joy, Jurgen Klopp remains worried due to injury concerns as the season boils down to the last three crucial fixtures. Fabinho remains sidelined until the UCL final, dealing with a hamstring problem. Furthermore, Andrew Robertson will be sidelined having picked up a cramp along with Salah and Van Dijk coming off with minor setbacks, from the FA Cup final.

Jurgen Klopp will opt for a 4-3-3 formation but will have to make a plethora of changes to the squad ahead of the game.

Alisson Becker should operate between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet.

Ibrahima Konate will look to partner with Joel Matip at the heart of Liverpool’s backline as they look to stop Tottenham in their tracks.

Tsimikas will start at the left wing-back position, whereas Gomez will fill in on the other flank as the right wing-back. The full-backs will be expected to stretch the opposition.

Henderson might start in the holding midfield position in the centre and could be assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the back-four.

Naby Keita and Curtis Jones will slot into the attacking midfield role on either side completing the midfield trio. The duo would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.

Diaz and Jota will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing respectively.

Firmino will lead the line against the Saints in the midweek clash. The Brazilian forward will be hoping to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the opposition’s backline.
