Fiorentina’s Biraghi hints at Roma interest in summer 2021

Fiorentina full-back Cristiano Biraghi is having himself quite the season. The ex-Inter player was recently interviewed by Radio Bruno and admitted that Roma had expressed interest in him following Spinazzola’s injury in July 2021.
Ultimately, the Giallorossi signed Matías Viña, with Biraghi renewing his contract with the Viola.
“I have always told the club what my ideas were. Two years ago I told the club that the only team I would leave Fiorentina for was Inter and so it was,” he said.
“Last year when I returned here I spoke my mind and clarified my intentions. I made it clear that I would not want to leave for any team and not even the interest of Roma was a problem.”
“I think that we’ve commenced a new cycle here in Florence, a cycle that goes beyond the current standings and the results, a cycle that will work for the identity of the team.”
