Fiorentina veteran Ribery hoping Real Madrid target Alaba sticks with Bayern Munich

Fiorentina veteran Franck Ribery has weighed into the transfer speculation around former Bayern Munich teammate David Alaba.

Alaba is off contract in June and is said to have agreed a pre-contract with Real Madrid.

Ribery told BILD: “David is a boy from Bayern, he won the treble twice! David is smart and he is no longer a little boy.

"He made a big name for himself in the football world, won it all. Bayern have always supported David, the relationship was good.

"I think it would be better for both parties to find a solution. But sometimes it doesn't. It's life, it's football."
