Scorers: Ranieri 59', Kean 68', 89'
Fiorentina may have just played a critical role in the race for the Scudetto after Raffaele Palladino's Viola secured a vital 3-0 win against title challengers Inter at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Sitting level at the halftime interval, it was a story that has played out time and again with Inter, who so often dig deep to pull out a result even when they are not at their best.
But Palladino's men would not be denied in Firenze tonight when captain Luca Ranieri opened the scoring in the 59th minute with a headed effort after Rolando Mandragora found him with a fantastic out-swinging cross into the area.
Inter, who dominated possession on the night, would push for an equaliser, only to be dealt a hammer stroke thanks to in-form man Moise Kean netting his 14th goal of the season nine minutes later when he converted from Dodo's cross.
The former Juventus, Everton, and PSG man would complete his double in the 90th minute to pad the scoreline across what will go down as a memorable night in the Renaissance city, with the home crowd giving him a standing ovation after he was subbed-off in stoppage time.
For Fiorentina, it is a result that could define their season as they now climb to fourth in the table amid dreams of a return to the Champions League.
As for Simone Inzaghi's Nerazzurri, they remain three points adrift of table-topping Napoli, having now suffered defeat on just two occasions across the 2024-25 Serie A season.
