According to multiple sources including La Gazzetta dello Sport, Argentina international Martinez Quarta is in advanced negotiations for a return to his homeland for River Plate.
This represents a comeback for the 27-year-old, who came up through the River Plate youth academy and made the €13m transfer to Fiorentina in October 2020.
Fiorentina already have his replacement, because former Boca Juniors defender Nicolas Valentini is in the squad against Napoli.
