Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic accused the match official’s decision to show his side a red card in the first half of Roma-Fiorentina as the main reason for the Viola’s loss in tonight’s league fixture at Stadio Olimpico.

“Tonight we are angry,” he told DAZN after the game. “We had prepared the game well with a lot of focus on possession, knowing that Roma would allow us to play that way, then the card influenced the rest of the game and the final result.”

“We continued to play even in the second half, and then the second goal ended the game. I think this season we have been very unlucky and had many episodes not go our way. We lost a lot of points because of it.”
