Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano believes that his team can get a result against Inter in tomorrow evening’s Serie A match at the San Siro.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s return to Serie A action for both teams, as reported by FCInterNews, Italiano acknowledged the Nerazzurri’s quality but was also confident of his own side’s ability to take something from the match.

The last time that Inter faced Fiorentina in Serie A, they edged out La Viola by the odd goal in a seven-goal thriller at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in October.

However, the Tuscans have been in blazing form heading into the international break, winning their seven most recent matches going into the stop.

Those matches were not against teams as formidable on paper as Inter, but that does not mean that Italiano’s team won’t be very keen to keep the momentum going by getting a result against the Nerazzurri tomorrow evening.

“We know the kind of team Inter are when they’re playing at home, in front of their fans,” the Fiorentina coach observed.

“We’re expecting a match of immense difficulty relative to the others,” he continued.

“We’re going to be facing a team with a number of strong points, but we have to go to Milan and try to play the style of football that’s allowed us to get some great results recently.”

Italiano noted that “We’ll try to extend our positive run in the league, we intend to take points away and not just that.”

“Tomorrow we’ll roll up our sleeves and work, we want to start back up by taking some massive points.”

“We have to have the attitude of a team who know that they’re well-prepared and are confident from coming off the back of a good run of results,” the coach added.

“We need to have character and quality, considering the quality of the opponent we’re up against,” Italiano adde.
