Manchester City have to sell players this summer. As it stands currently, the City squad is incredibly bloated. So far this summer City have signed four players and only Kevin De Bruyne and Scott Carson have left from City’s first team. One player who appears certain to leave Manchester City this summer is Jack Grealish. But a new report indicates that City are struggling to offload the England international. So it could take all summer for Manchester City to offload the England international.
Dean Jones and Matt Smith have reported for GIVEMESPORT that Manchester City have accepted that it could be a struggle to find a new club for Jack Grealish. Furthermore, Jones and Smith report that City are open to finding Grealish a loan move if they cannot sell him this summer. Jones and Smith also report that Newcastle, AC Milan and Napoli all have had an interest in signing Grealish. But all three of those clubs do have other transfer targets. Lastly, the GIVEMESPORT report indicates that Manchester City hopes to find Grealish a new club ahead of Manchester City’s pre-season which begins on July 28.
It has been obvious for some time that Jack Grealish doesn’t have a future at the Etihad. His past two seasons have been disappointing, and it is for the best for Grealish and City that he departs the club. It is almost certain that the England international will not be a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad for next season. But as Dean Jones and Matt Smith report it may be a struggle for City to find a club for Grealish. That isn’t ideal as it would be best for City and Grealish if his future can be resolved as quickly as possible.
The sooner a new club is found for Grealish the quicker he can move on with his career. At his best, the England international can be a devastating player. But it isn’t a stretch to say that it is unlikely that Grealish’s best will be seen at Manchester City. He needs a new club to have a fresh start. From a Manchester City point of view, the quicker Grealish finds a new club the sooner the club can move on.
It isn’t a surprise to see that City are struggling to offload Jack Grealish. Given his wages, there may be only a few clubs that can afford to sign him. The hope is that a new club can be found for Jack Grealish in a timely fashion. But his future may take all summer to be resolved which wouldn’t be ideal for the Grealish or Manchester City.
