Points targeted at LASK

Just a month has passed since we last made the trip to Linz, but we are ready for the next big match against LASK! Our boys started the year in style with a 3-2 win in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup quarter-finals that set a poor run for the Linz side in motion.

Since then the team coached by Thomas Sageder are yet to win in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga and have scored three goals in four matches! They were held against Klagenfurt, Hartberg and Altach - while they were beaten by WAC.

Those results have seen LASK lose a bit of ground in recent weeks. Ljubicic & Co remain in third spot, but they are 12 points behind our Red Bulls now.

We are going into the match on the back of two wins in a row, on the other hand, and are eager to exact revenge for our 0-1 home defeat at the hands of LASK in the autumn. Our record of nine visits to the Linz side without defeat (six wins and three draws) breeds confidence, as does the fact that our current run of 25 away matches without defeat is the most in the Bundesliga.

Not available for the match are Samson Baidoo (ankle), Nicolas Capaldo (knee), Leandro Morgalla (recovering), Luka Sucic (knee) and Andreas Ulmer (calf).
Oscar Gloukh returned to training on Wednesday.

We are determined to end the regular season with three points, but we know that LASK will not be easy opponents. We won there in the cup in the first match after the winter break, but we saw how much we had to put in for a win. That won't be any different on Saturday.

Our aim is to start the championship group as league leaders. We want to win at LASK for that and keep the distance over Sturm Graz as big as possible. Even if Linz didn't make an ideal start to the year, we are expecting to face strong and determined opponents, who we will have to give our all against.
