Belgium, Denmark and Germany were among those recording important wins in FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Group A – Republic of Ireland 11-0 Georgia, Sweden 3-0 Slovakia

Sweden have five wins from five after the 3-0 defeat of Slovakia, Republic of Ireland went second with a record 11-0 score against Georgia in which Denise O’Sullivan hit a hat-trick.

Group B – Hungary 4-2 Ukraine, Spain 8-0 Scotland

Spain notched an amazing 16th victory in a row without conceding in a devastating performance against a previously unbeaten Scotland.

Fanni Vágó bagged a brace in the first 11 minutes in setting Hungary on the way to a 4-2 victory over Ukraine.

Group C – Cyprus 0-4 Iceland, Czech Republic P-P Belarus

Iceland are two points behind leaders Netherlands with a game in hand after a 4-0 win in Iceland, where they led 3-0 by the break.

Group D – England 20-0 Latvia, Luxembourg 0-8 Austria

England posted their biggest ever win with the 20-0 demolition of Latvia, in which Ellen White became the Lionesses’ all-time leading scorer,

Austria edged back above Northern Ireland into second with a win in Luxembourg, where there were three goals by Stefanie Enzinger.

Group E – Azerbaijan 1-0 Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina 1-0 Malta, Denmark 3-1 Russia

Denmark are three points clear of Russia after their 3-1 win. All the goals game in the latter stages, the visitors only getting a consolation near the end as the Danes recorded a sixth win on the spin.

There was a first win for Bosnia & Herzegovina as they edged Malta 1-0, while Azerbaijan got off the mark with the only goal of the game against Montenegro,

Group F – Armenia A-A Norway, Belgium 4-0 Poland, Kosovo 1-3 Albania

Norway were 9-0 up in Armenia when the match was halted due to fog and the remainder will be played on Wednesday. Elisabeth Terland and Lisa-Marie Utland both scored twice, Arsenal’s Frida Maanum and Chelsea’s Guro Reiten also on target.

Belgium sent Poland to their first defeat and leapfrogged them into second in the process, while Albania moved three points ahead of Kosovo after defeating them 3-1.

Group G – Croatia 4-0 Moldova, Lithuania 0-7 Switzerland, Romania 0-5 Italy

Switzerland made it six straight wins as Coumba Sow hit a first-half hat-trick in a 7-0 result in Lithuania.

Cristiana Girelli’s second-half treble helped Italy win 5-0 in Romania and stay in touch, while Croatia claimed their opening win in the group.

Group H – Bulgaria 1-4 Serbia, Portugal 1-3 Germany, Turkey 3-2 Israel

Germany have a five-point lead following their 3-1 success in Portugal, whom Serbia gained ground on with victory in Bulgaria.

Turkey came from two down to register a first win in dramatic style, two stoppage-time goals including a penalty bringing a 3-2 result over Israel.

Group I – France 2-0 Wales, Slovenia 0-0 Greece

France took until the last minute to seal victory over ten-player Wales but Welsh hopes were helped elsewhere as Slovenia and Greece played out a goalless draw in the meeting of third and fourth.
