Netherlands and Belgium both left it late to equalise in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Group Stage.

Group A: Rolfö gets result for Sweden

Fridolina Rolfö got the only goal ten minutes in, giving Sweden victory in Slovakia.

Group B: Scotland win away

Scotland started with victory in Hungary, Erin Cuthbert netting 17 minutes in when following up her own penalty, Martha Thomas getting the second 17 minutes from time.

Group C: Dutch rescue a point

Netherlands were trailing at home to the Czech Republic when Andrea Staskova struck two minutes after the restart. It was down to the final seven minutes when Vivianne Miedema levelled to rescue a point.

Belarus beat Cyprus 4-1, the visitors pulling a goal back when already three down.

Group D: Eight for England and Austria

England were three up over North Macedonia at the interval, from Ella Toone, Ellen White and an own-goal. White later also scored from a penalty, Beth England also claimed a brace, Beth Mead scored and caused another own-goal in an 8-0 result.

Marissa Callaghan, Rachel Furness and Emily Wilson got first-half goals for Northern Ireland against Luxembourg, Lauren Wade also on target in a 4-0 win.

Austria ran out big winners but only after Latvia had opened the scoring. With a narrow interval lead, Austria adding six second-half goals.

Group E: Montenegro win despite conceding two-goal lwad

Montenegro were two up in nine minutes but Bosnia & Herzegovina hit back twice to draw level with only 20 minutes played. However, Montenegro took all three points with a penalty on the hour mark.

Russia broke the deadlock against Azerbaijan three minutes before the break, sealing victory in the final quarter of an hour.

Group F: Belgium level late on

Ewa Pajor’s goal close to half-time saw Poland lead Belgium, until Janice Cayman equalised with 11 minutes to go.

Group G: Lehman on target for Swiss

Aston Villa’s Alisha Lehmann opened the scoring for Switzerland in a 4-1 victory over Lithuania.

Italy struck three times in the first 35 minutes to defeat Moldova, Cristiane Girelli bagging a brace.

Two first-half efforts were enough to give Romania a home win over Croatia.

Group I: France net ten

Wales were two goals to the good at the midway point at home to Kazakhstan, Kayleigh Green and Natasha Harding netting. Rachel Rowe made it 3-0 and Green then doubled her tally for the night. Gemma Evans an Ceri Holland extended the lead to 6-0 in added time, each with their first goals for their country.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto hit a hat-trick as France thrashed hosts Greece 10-0.

Slovenia completed the scoring inside the hour mark in Estonia, Lara Prašnikar with two of their goals in a 4-0 result.
