Following the recent international break, Belgium are now the outright leaders in the FIFA World Rankings.
Roberto Martinez’s side have gone clear of France, who they shared top spot with a month ago, after the world champions disappointingly drew with Iceland two weeks ago.
England, meanwhile, have cause for celebration again. The Three Lions have moved up one spot to fifth place after following up a draw with World Cup runners-up Croatia (fourth) with an impressive 3-2 victory away against Spain (ninth).
Unsurprisingly, Brazil (third) are the highest-ranked side from outside of Europe.
Another dismal international break for Germany saw them lose 3-0 to the Netherlands and 2-1 to France. As a result, Joachim Löw’s side have slipped to 14th place.
Having won their first two competitive games ever, Gibraltar were the team to have the best movement. They’re up eight spots to 190th.
