Day five at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup featured victory for Italy, six goals for Germany and a hat-trick for Brazil’s Ary Borges.
Brazil were dominant in a 4-0 win over Panama in Group F, which they lead with France and Jamaica on a point each.
Borges struck twice in the first 45 for Brazil, with a far post header from Debinha’s cross and later netting at the second attempt on the rebound from the save by Yenith Bailey.
Beatriz netted from Borges’ clever backheel before the latter headed through the keeper’s legs to complete her treble.
