Switzerland had to come from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw at home to fellow FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament finalists Zambia, while Spain thrashed Panama 7-0.

Ana-Maria Crnogorevic gave Switzerland the lead but Grace Chanda, Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundanaji all scored for a 3-1 half-time lead.

Seraina Piubel reduced the deficit before Coumba Sow’s 81st-minute equaliser denied Zambia victory.

Spain were six up by half-time against first-time finalists Panama, with a brace by Esther González, one apiece from Alexia Putellas, Irene Guerrero (penalty), Eva Navarro and a Rebeca Espinosa own-goal.

Athenea del Castillo completed the scoring midway through the second half.

Panama had previously won 7-0 themselves against Gibraltar, aided by a Emily Cedeno hat-trick.
