FIFA have released their latest rankings of men’s international teams, and Argentina retain their place at the top of the list ahead of France.

Since the World Cup, La Albiceleste have maintained their dominance, winning their last six games without conceding.

They have beaten Panama, Curacao, Australia, Indonesia, Ecuador and Bolivia, looking like an imperious force.

France has secured victories over the Netherlands, Republic of Ireland (twice), Gibraltar and Greece, but lost to a rejuvenated Germany in their last outing.

Les Bleus look set to book their place at the 2024 European Championship, where they will likely be one of the favourites for the title.

Third-placed Brazil have had a lot of changes in the coaching department since the departure of Tite following their disappointing World Cup campaign.

The Selecao lost to Morocco and Senegal but defeated Peru, Guinea and Bolivia.

England came in fourth. The Three Lions are a strong team all across the board and have continued to record impressive results.

Following their World Cup exit at the hands of France, they have defeated Italy, Ukraine, Macedonia and Scotland as they gun for a place at Euro 2024.

Belgium, Croatia, Netherlands, Portugal, Italy and Spain make up the rest of the top ten. United States and Mexico are in 11th and 12th place, while Morocco is the highest-ranked African nation, coming in at 13.

Germany has fallen to 15th after a string of poor results after the World Cup, even though they managed a 2-1 win over France in their last outing.

Japan is the highest-ranked Asian nation at 19 after securing impressive results recently.

Scotland and Wales are ranked 31st and 33rd, while the Republic of Ireland climbs to 55 from 62.

British Virgin Islands, Anguilla and San Marino are the lowest-ranked teams in the FIFA rankings.
