Inter Milan have seen their guaranteed revenues from the FIFA Club World Cup drop significantly.

FIFA has signed a broadcasting deal with DAZN for the upcoming Club World Cup.

This follows a long period in which the football governing body has sought out the right partner to broadcast the competition.

Subsequently, the deal with DAZN means all matches will be free to watch.

Therefore, the revenues from the competition will not be as high as if it was behind a paywall. Or better yet a subscription service.

Inter Guaranteed Revenues From Club World Cup Plummet With Free-To-Air TV Deal

Inter and Juventus are the two Italian clubs who will be playing in the upcoming edition of the Club World Cup.

There are twelve European teams in total. All of the confederations in FIFA will be represented.

Naturally, the financial incentive for participation in the Club World Cup is high. There had even been the hope of a guarantee of revenues as high as €50 million for each club.

However, the new free-to-air TV deal means that it will in fact be €18 million per club.
