The latest promo of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team is now LIVE!

After 2 weeks of RuleBreakers content, FIFA 23 Ultimate Team is all set to welcome a brand new promo – Out of Position – headlined by the Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah. Eleven new special cards are added into the packs along with themed Squad Building Challenges and Objectives.

What are Out of Position Players?

There is a minor debate among the FIFA Community whether the Out of Position promo is just a repackaged version of the Shapeshifters promo from the previous iterations of the FIFA franchise. The basic idea of both promos is the same – the selected players are given a special card with new position(s) that is different from their base card with permanent stat boosts that are relevant to their new position.

These specially selected players also receive changes to their preferred foot, weak foot, skill moves, and work rates. For instance, Bayer Leverkusen’s Callum Hudson-Odoi is a left footer in his Out of Position card, whereas he is a natural right footer.

For example, Mohamed Salah’s base card is a 90 rated RW card with an alternate position of RM. However, his Out of Position card is a 92 rated ST card with alternate positions of CF and LW. Therefore, in addition to being better statistically, the new cards also provide the FUT player with better team building opportunities.

These cards will be in packs until Friday, November 4th when the next promo will be revealed in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

Promo Update

EA Sports announced via an in-game message that the Out of Position promo will continue to be released for the duration of FUT 23 as an ongoing Player Program. There will be additional SBCs, Objectives and Packs throughout the year.
