Flashback cards are a very popular SBC that EA likes to use in their titles. They have been around for a couple of years now, but really became prevalent in FIFA 22 when we received some simply ludicrous and nostalgic cards.

We were given the likes of a young Manchester United version of Cristiano Ronaldo and a baby-faced Santos Neymar in the last instalment of the game, so it’s no surprise to see that EA are also planning some big things for FIFA 23 in regards to Flashback players, including arguably the greatest of all time in Messi.

A Flashback card for the Paris Saint Germain and Argentina winger has been leaked, so let’s take a look at it, shall we?

Here he is, as confirmed by reliable FIFA leaker FUTSheriff; here is confirmation that Flashback Messi is coming to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team!

The Sheriff has confirmed that the statistics on Lionel Messi are merely a prediction, but they look excellent for an 87-rated card!

But, if we’re honest, rightly so – this is Lionel Messi we’re talking about and even though this is a Flashback to his younger years at Barcelona, it’s simply undisputable that he possessed world-class talent.

This card is going to break the market and will require some high-rated players in order to complete it. We’d advise stocking up on some high-rated Argentina cards, as they’ll most likely be used to complete the Flashback Messi.
