FIFA 22 ratings: Marcos Llorente's new FUT card is absolutely terrifying | OneFootball

On Monday afternoon, the top 22 players on FIFA 22 were officially unveiled on social media.

You can see a full breakdown of the highest-rated players here, but established superstars Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo comprise the top three, each with some eye-watering numbers to their names.

As further cards have been made public for this year's game, the stats of Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente have attracted plenty of attention among fans of the franchise.

Plenty of footballers have been known to complain about their FIFA ratings over the years, but 26-year-old Spain international Llorente won't be among them this time around - as his FUT card is an absolute monster!

Llorente's values have increased considerably over those that were included in last year's game. His overall rating of 86 is up by four when compared with FIFA 21, with his pace, shooting, pace and dribbling all improved.

Llorente is set to be one of the most complete central midfielders on the game, with an overall rating that puts him ahead of Atletico teammates Jose María Gimenez (84), Yannick Carrasco (84) and Joao Felix (83) - affording him some dressing room bragging rights.

While Llorente's dribbling (82), passing (81) and shooting (80) are all impressive in their own right, it is his pace rating of 88 that is going to make him such a sought-after asset this year. That sort of speed will make him tough to live with for any opposition.

Of course, should Llorente end up with a Team Of The Week card at any point during the season, then those lofty numbers will climb even higher (usually by a few points in each category)

It's a seriously imposing package - and fans on Twitter have been quick to react to the surprising reveal.

"With his height and work rate too, that Llorente card looks absolutely diabolical," declared one fan.

"He should cost a fortune with those stats," said another.

"Stop what you're doing and look the f*** at this card. Llorente is on smoke in FIFA 22," stated a third reply, summing up the general feeling towards events.

One reply, though, was highly skeptical of whether Llorente deserved such insane numbers, proclaiming: "Big Marcos Llorente got an 86 card?  I might not watch enough La Liga, but he ain't that."

Fans won't have to wait long for their opportunity to play as a souped-up Llorente, as FIFA 22 hits shelves in just a few weeks.
