Quinten Timber, linked with Ajax and PSV this summer, looks set to join Feyenoord.

The twin brother of Jurrien joined Utrecht last year after spells in the Feyenoord and Ajax academies and impressed many in his first season regularly playing in the Eredivisie, including the three biggest clubs in the league.

He was said to be PSV’s first-choice if they were to lose Ibrahim Sangare, while Alfred Schreuder was reportedly interested in bringing him to Amsterdam.

Both sides look set to miss out though following a report from De Telegraaf stating that the midfielder’s current club have reached a verbal agreement with Feyenoord.

The Rotterdam club will reportedly pay €8.5 million up-front and a further €1.5 million in bonuses, making him their most expensive signing ever.

It’s a huge boost to Arne Slot and co after Guus Til declined to return to the club this season after spending last year on loan there, instead opting to sign for PSV.
