Plamen Andreev has joined Racing Santander on loan for next season. Feyenoord announced this through official channels on Tuesday.

The Rotterdam side have opted to allow Andreev some valuable La Liga 2 experience. The 20-year-old Bulgarian will be looking for gametime in Spain’s second tier, after mainly sitting on the fringes at De Kuip.

Andreev transferred from Levski Sofia to Feyenoord last summer after turning out 89 times for the capital city club. The talented goalkeeper signed a contract until the summer of 2029.

So far, the stopper who has played for Bulgaria at U17, U19, and U21 has only played one match for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie – a 2-0 defeat away to Heerenveen in May of this year.
