Feyenoord have rejected an offer from Rangers for their Brazilian striker Danilo, according to Voetbal International. The offer that Rangers have submitted doesn’t come anywhere near the price that Feyenoord have in mind for the 24-year-old.

Danilo featured 48 times across all competitions last season as Feyenoord lifted their 16th Eredivisie title and progressed to the quarter-final of the Europa League. During the season Danilo lost his starting spot to Santiago Giménez, although he was still handed 20 appearances off the bench by head coach Arne Slot and he ended up featuring in every Eredivisie match last season. He scored 10 league goals and provided three assists.

Danilo is the perfect super-sub for Feyenoord. The former Ajax academy striker is versatile and knows how to make an impact coming off the bench. However, if the player wants a regular starting spot, a move away from De Kuip could be the best option. It’s not been confirmed how much Rangers offered for Danilo, but he could be a brilliant signing for the Scottish club if they continue their pursuit.
