Feyenoord, Everton, and Ipswitch Town are all keen on loaning midfielder Tanner Tessmann once he signs for Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter have not yet completed the signing of 22-year-old US international Tessmann from Venezia.
But by all accounts, it should only be a matter of time.
The Nerazzurri have been in negotiations with Venezia for around a month. And they have an agreement in hand with the newly-promoted club to sign Tessmann.
The American should become an Inter player after the Olympics.
At the moment, Tessmann is gearing up to play his part at the Paris games with the US national team.
But once Tessmann is back from the Olympics, he will undergo his medicals, sign his contract, and become a Nerazzurri player.
Inter’s plan is not to make Tessmann a part of their first team squad right away, though.
The Nerazzurri already have plenty of midfield options. Piotr Zielinski joins the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, Davide Frattesi, and Kristjan Asllani.
Therefore, Inter’s plan is to loan Tessmann out next season.
The Nerazzurri see the 22-year-old as a player with plenty of prospects for the future. But of course, regular playing time at senior top level would be key to his making good on this potential.
Reports initially indicated that Inter would likely loan Tessmann back to Venezia for the season. He would then get the chance to play in Serie A, but continue in a familiar enviornment where he’s already a starter.
But according to the Corriere, there are clubs from abroad keen to loan Tessmann in.
One is Dutch side Feyenoord. And from the Premier League, both of Everton and newly-promoted Ipswitch Town are keen, reports the Corriere.
