With Fredrik Aursnes leaving for Benfica, Feyenoord want to bring in Florian Grillitsch as a replacement.
The Rotterdam club are on the search for a new midfielder after losing Aursnes, one of their most important players, to Benfica.
They were initially interested in replacing him with FC Twente’s Ramiz Zerrouki but such interest has cooled due to his club’s high asking price, which Arne Slot and co deem to be too expensive.
According to 1908, they’ve now turned their attention to Grillitsch, who is currently a free agent and most recently played for Hoffenheim.
The site state that Feyenoord would very much like to sign him but a potential obstacle could be the Austrian’s wage demands, which are said to be very high.
A potential transfer is made all the more difficult by the fact that numerous big clubs such as Roma and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the player.
