Manager Fernando Ortiz has hinted at potential line-up changes ahead of Club América’s trip to the Estadio Olímpico Universitario on Sunday.

América face Pumas in the Clasico Capitalino and, with Ortiz’s side in dire need of a good result, the Argentine manager has revealed he won’t be afraid to mix things up.

“Pumas are a Clasico rival, we have to go to their stadium and we are going to play the match with the intention of winning,” said the 51-year-old.

“The boys know its a derby and we have to treat it as a derby. I won’t hesitate to put in the players who think they are in a better frame of mind.

“I’m happy we will have had a full week to prepare because there are things that I didn’t like [in the last game] and we need to keep improving. Saturday, when we face Pumas, our best team will be on the field.”

Las Águilas are currently languishing in 14th place after six games, having only picked up two wins so far this season.
