Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has reportedly been in contact with the agent of Bologna midfielder and Scotland international Lewis Ferguson over the last few days to discuss the possibility of a transfer to Turin in the summer.

The Bianconeri have already been working on a move for Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners ahead of the summer transfer window, but they could be poised to bring in several midfield reinforcements over the next few months.

Ferguson would likely cost Juventus considerably less than Koopmeiners from Atalanta, but Giuntoli’s interest in the Scot does not necessarily affect the team’s pursuit of the Dutchman.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, it would cost Juventus at least €25m to persuade Bologna to part ways with Ferguson.

However, the Old Lady are not the only interested party in Ferguson, as Milan, Napoli and Lazio have also registered an interest.

If Juventus were to go after both Ferguson and Koopmeiners in the summer, their pursuit of Atalanta’s Brazilian midfielder Ederson would fall further down the list of priorities. Ederson does, however, have interest from LaLiga, specifically from Atletico Madrid according to Wednesday’s report.
