Fenerbahçe: Dorgeles Nene has arrived in Turkey (video)

Malian striker Dorgeles Nene landed in Istanbul around 2 a.m., in the early hours of Tuesday, to undergo his medical and officially sign with Fenerbahçe.

According to reports from Turkey, Fenerbahçe will pay a total of €20 million—€15 million up front and €5 million in bonuses—to secure the services of the talented 22-year-old.

Born in 2002 in Kayes, Mali, Nene began his career at Guidars FC before joining Salzburg in 2021. He was successively loaned out to Liefering, SV Ried, and Westerlo, before returning to the Salzburg squad in 2023. With the Austrian club, he made 87 appearances, scored 22 goals, and provided 14 assists.

Just last season, he racked up 15 goals and 9 assists in 49 matches. His current market value is estimated at €12 million, underscoring the bold gamble Fenerbahçe is making to bring him on board.
