Barcelona entertained Athletic Bilbao at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in La Liga. Barca made a slow start to the game and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Both teams canceled each other out for most of the second half. However, Marc Guiu gave the Catalan club the all-important lead in the 80th minute when he found the back of the net. Xavi’s men ended up securing a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home fans.

The German keeper made a few important saves at the back and earned a crucial clean sheet at the Nou Camp.

RB: Joao Cancelo – 8/10

The Portuguese talent was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch. Cancelo was accurate with his passing as well.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 6.5/10

Christensen did what was required of him on the defensive end of the field and was replaced near the hour mark.

CB: Inigo Martinez – 7/10

The Spaniard kept things solid at the back and was accurate with his ball distribution.

LB: Alejandro Balde – 6.5/10

Balde managed to catch the eye in both halves and was substituted in the 78th minute.

CM: Gavi – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well and made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Oriol Romeu – 6.5/10

Romeu did his fair share of defending but could last only 59 minutes.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 6.5/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the opponent’s half but never looked like he would score.

RW: Ferran Torres – 6.5/10

Torres caused a few headaches for the opposition but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

ST: Joao Felix – 8.5/10

Felix was a constant menace in the final third and did everything but score tonight. However, he has got an assist to show for his efforts.

He had a few strikes at goal but failed to find the back of the net.
