Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo could be in Milan for his medicals to join Inter during the next few hours.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri are pushing to get the deal for the Ecuadorian on loan in the next day or two, and that there is not yet complete agreement but that it is close.

Caicedo has been Inter’s main attacking target to bolster their forward options after the injury that Joaquin Correa suffered during their Coppa Italia clash with Empoli.

The 33-year-old is keen to make the switch and the Griffone are open to allowing him to leave for the rest of the season.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to get the deal for the striker wrapped up as soon as possible, and he could complete his medicals before the end of the day.

Caicedo would be reunited with former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi should he join Inter, having worked successfully together at the Biancocelesti for four seasons.
