Felipe Anderson has started to show his best again this season after returning to Lazio last year.

The Brazilian winger had a tough few years following his €38 million move to West Ham in the summer of 2018. After two years in East London, where he scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists across 73 appearances, he joined Porto on loan, where he failed to impress. The 28-year-old returned to Lazio last July in a deal worth around €3 million.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Felipe Anderson has seemingly started to rediscover his magic after making his return to the Italian capital, playing an important role in Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio squad.

This season, the 29-year-old Brazilian winger has completed nine dribbles, averaged 2.29 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes and won 10 tackles, being an important figure both offensively and defensively.

Whilst Felipe Anderson has only scored one goal and provided one assist in the first seven Serie A matches of the campaign, he’s still proving to be a vital part of Sarri’s squad in Rome.
