Fee, contract & more: All the details as Valencia star’s Liverpool move confirmed | OneFootball

A headline member of the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Valencia will be plying his trade in the Premier League with Liverpool from next season on.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Giorgi Mamardashvili as the player in question.

The name of goalkeeper Mamardashvili has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media headlines across all of Europe over the course of recent weeks.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Liverpool had set their sights firmly on the signature of the Georgian international.

Viewing Mamardashvili as the ideal long-term replacement for current no.1 Alisson, the Anfield brass, in turn, kicked into gear negotiations with club and player alike.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, they have tied up a definitive transfer agreement.

As per Fabrizio Romano:

‘Giorgi Mamardashvili to Liverpool, here we go! Medical today for Georgian goalkeeper as he’s joining from Valencia.’

Turning attentions towards the details of the move, Mamardashvili will spend the season ahead back on loan at Mestalla, before departing for Merseyside next summer.

The fee involved will consist of €30 million up front, alongside a further €5 million in bonuses.

Mamardashvili has agreed on the terms of a six-year contract with Liverpool, whilst Valencia have secured for themselves a 10% sell-on clause.
