Federico Chiesa’s time in the Premier League may have already come to an end.
Chiesa’s experience at Liverpool has so far been a failure. After the separation with Juventus and the farewell to Serie A, one of the cornerstones of the national team had decided to put himself in the Premier League, but in the Reds of Arne Slot it was difficult to carve out a place in the team.
Liverpool’s attack, in fact, composed of Salah, Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Nunez and Diogo Jota, is in full swing and the Dutch coach himself said: “What he needs is to play, the problem is that if he hasn’t played for five or six months it’s sometimes difficult for a coach to give him his first minutes, because you don’t know exactly what to expect”. With just 123 minutes played, Chiesa has so far disappointed the expectations of many fans who believed it could be an added value for the team. The former Fiorentina and Juventus even played a few games with the Youth team in order to get in shape.
Now Calciomercato.com reports that in addition to Inter, Milan and Napoli, Roma would also have set their eyes on Chiesa. The main problem, however, for all the clubs just mentioned is the player’s salary: the 7.5 million euros that the player earns are too many and a contribution from Liverpool would be needed to facilitate a deal.
