Roma are very keen on Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa who is being increasingly linked with a surprise move to the Italian capital.

The rumors that emerged earlier in the week have picked up strength in recent days with today’s report from Il Tempo confirming that Chiesa could indeed become Roma’s priority ahead of the summer transfer window.

The ex-Fiorentina man has only one more year left on his contract with Juventus and the Bianconeri do not seem inclined on pursuing negotiations for a new deal.

The newspaper reports that Juventus are open to the idea of selling Chiesa and would require a minimum fee of around €14 million in order to avoid recording a loss in their balance sheets.

As suggested in the article, this would be a favorable deal for Roma with the only obstacle being Chiesa’s large salary of €5 million which Roma could afford once Romelu Lukaku will conclude his loan at the club.

However, for Roma to a concrete chance at signing the likes of Chiesa this summer, the club must be guaranteed a spot in next season’s Champions League.
