Arsenal and Everton will be hoping to return to winning ways in the Barclays Women’s Super League when they meet at Meadow Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners were defeated 3-2 by Manchester United in their last league match while Everton have suffered back-to-back league defeats to Manchester opposition.

Ahead of this weekend’s fixture, FAWSL Full-Time have been looking at the statistics provided by Opta. Here are three facts relating to Arsenal’s meeting with Everton.

Arsenal’s perfect record

Arsenal have won their last 13 Barclays Women’s Super League games against Everton, scoring 36 goals and conceding just six. It’s the joint-longest winning run that one team has had against another in the competition with Manchester City also boasting the same record against Everton. The Merseyside club have never beaten one of the ‘top four’ in the full-time era.

Everton have never taken a point at Arsenal

Arsenal have won all eight of their Barclays Women’s Super League home games against Everton by an aggregate score of 22-4 – it’s the best 100% home record one team has against another in the competition. The Blue Girls have managed to collect just four points against The Gunners on their own turf too.

Capital trouble

Everton haven’t scored in any of their last six Barclays Women’s Super League away games in London and the surrounding areas, since beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in February 2021. They’ve lost on each of their last five visits to the capital in the top-flight. Brian Sørensen’s side were defeated by East London side West Ham United on opening day but they have since won their next two away games at Liverpool and Aston Villa. A third consecutive away win would see Everton match their best winning record on the road since 2012.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Everton kicks-off at 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
