FC Twente remain interested in expensive Sparta Rotterdam star | OneFootball

FC Twente are still interested in Joshua Kitolano, according to club expert Leon ten Voorde of TC/Tubantia on the podcast “De Ballen Verstand”. However, Sparta Rotterdam are still too ambitious regarding the transfer fee.

“One player they’re still interested in, but who’s still too expensive, is Kitolano from Sparta,” the club anaylst says about a potential transfer for the midfielder.

The 23-year-old Norwegian has a contract with the Rotterdam club until the summer of 2026. It’s unknown how much Sparta are asking for Kitolano. The club paid €600,000 for the midfielder in the summer of 2022 when he signed from Odds BK.

Twente have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the arrivals of Feyenoord man Thomas van den Belt and Ajax’s Kristian Hlynsson. They also signed Stav Lemkin (Shakhtar Donetsk) and Guilherme Peixoto (Benfica) in defence. Twente have already had to part with Sem Steijn (Feyenoord) and Michal Sadilek (Slavia Prague).
