FC Porto left-back Alex Telles has urged the club to lower their asking price in order to get his dream move to Manchester United this summer.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with signing for United over the past week, and fans are growing impatient with just one signing made so far in the current window.

Porto allegedly value Telles at €20m (£18.3m) but United feel he is worth closer to £12m. In the current market which has been impacted negatively by the coronavirus, the Premier League giants have a valid argument to go to the table with.

The Guardian claim Telles has intervened in a bid to force a transfer to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants players who want to be at Manchester United and it sounds like Telles is pushing the boat out.

It looks like United have played the waiting game with Jadon Sancho — almost expecting him to do the same, which may explain why Borussia Dortmund were left ‘bemused’ by the club’s behaviour this summer, as reported by Sky Sports.

Telles has just one year left on his deal and he believes Porto are asking for too much and could potentially price him out of his dream move to the north-west.

It’s beginning to look crystal clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the Brazilian to challenge Luke Shaw this season.

Brandon Williams is still developing but this signing but add depth to our left-back department. Whether it’s Telles (should he sign) or Shaw, United will have enough quality in the position and Solskjaer will be able to rotate his side better.
