On Tuesday, July 1st, Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh leaves FC Metz for NK Maribor.
FC Metz announced in a statement on Tuesday the transfer of Benjamin Tetteh to Slovenia. The Ghanaian forward joined the Lorraine club in 2023 and featured in 13 Ligue 1 matches without scoring. In September 2024, he was loaned to NK Maribor (Slovenian top flight), where he found the net 13 times in 21 appearances.
"The shared story between FC Metz and Benjamin Tetteh ends here. Arriving in Moselle in the summer of 2024, the Ghanaian international took part in 13 Ligue 1 matches under Laszlo Bölöni. At the end of last season, the Accra native joined Maribor, a Slovenian league club, on loan. In Eastern Europe, Benjamin Tetteh enjoyed a successful season. In fact, across 19 matches, the now former Grenat scored eleven goals and provided five assists. His performances impressed the recent runners-up of the Slovenian league, and the former Hull City player has now signed a permanent deal with the Slovenian club." wrote FC Metz on its official website.
