Jesper Gudde has left Sparta Rotterdam and is the new technical manager of FC Den Bosch. He succeeds Bernard Schuiteman, who left after announcing that he would be working at RKC Waalwijk next season.
Voetbal International’s Chris Tempelman writes that Gudde (34) was at odds with Sparta, where he was first head of scouting before becoming technical manager responsible for Jong Sparta and Sparta U19.
Two weeks ago, a dispute between Gudde and Sparta came to an end after external mediation. Gudde had been considered a candidate in Den Bosch for some time.
Gudde has signed for three seasons. He is the son of former KNVB and Feyenoord director Eric Gudde and the brother of Wouter Gudde (former director at Excelsior and Groningen). Jesper Gudde previously worked at SciSports, a data agency that helps clubs around the world to simplify their scouting and transfer process with data intelligence.
In the wake of the Gudde situation, Bart Latuheru has also moved on after his own conflict with the club. The former Dutch international will be given the position of Head of Recruitment at the Asian investment group Bridge Football Group. Latuheru has been given a three-year contract. FC Den Bosch are expected to present Gudde and Latuheru on Friday.
In addition to owning FC Den Bosch, the Bridge Football Group is also responsible for the Chinese Shaanxi Union and, more recently, Italian side Pro Vercelli. At that Serie C club, Michele Santoni, former coach of FC Dordrecht, was appointed as the new coach this week.
