FC Bayern are likely to make a major change to their squad in the summer. The Munich club is now rumoured to be interested in Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig.

Those responsible at FC Bayern are apparently interested in signing Leipzig’s Dani Olmo in the summer. This is reported by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

However, there is also competition for Bayern in the race for the Spaniard: FC Barcelona and Manchester United are also in the running, according to the report. Olmo’s release clause at RB Leipzig in the upcoming transfer window is set at 60 million euros.

Of course, that’s not cheap, but it could still turn out to be a good deal for Bayern: Olmo has consistently been one of the best players in the Bundesliga in recent years. This season, the attacking midfielder has played a total of 23 competitive matches for Leipzig, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. The Spanish international regularly makes his mark on the game of the Bundesliga’s current fourth-placed team. He has already played 33 games for Spain’s national team.

Bayern rumours about Olmo as early as last summer

With his technical skills and tactical understanding, the 25-year-old could also help Bayern’s offence.

This is not the first time that the German record champions have been rumoured to be interested in Olmo. Bayern bosses were already rumoured to be toying with the idea last summer.

The club may be on the verge of a reorganisation in attack. It has already been reported that FCB managers might be prepared tolet Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman leave the club in the summer if they receive a suitable offer.

In addition, Leroy Sané’s contract expires in the summer of 2025. If they do not want to let him leave on a free transfer and at the same time do not agree on a contract extension, Bayern’s management would have to think about selling him next summer.
