FC Bayern are sending Gabriel Vidović on loan to Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season. The 18-year-old attacker joined the German record champions in 2016 and will now continue his development in the Dutch top flight.
Hasan Salihamidžić, FC Bayern board member for sport: “Gabriel proved with his good performances in pre-season that he is rightly in our first-team squad. We’ve now weighed up what’s best for his development and decided on a loan move to Vitesse Arnhem. Gabriel has greater chances of playing regularly there. Arnhem are very well known in Europe for developing young talents, as demonstrated by examples like Mason Mount or Martin Ödegaard. We’re sure that Gabriel will take the next step in Arnhem and we’ll be keeping a close eye on his development.”
Since coming to FC Bayern at U15 level, Augsburg-born Vidović has continually progressed season after season. So far he's made four appearances for the first team as well as 33 for the reserves, in which he’s scored 21 goals. The Croatian youth international made his debut for his country’s U21 side last year and has scored one goal in four U21 EURO qualifiers.
