On Friday, July 11, Marc-André ter Stegen was caught on camera leaving FC Barcelona's training center. This came shortly after his much-anticipated meeting with Hansi Flick.

As expected, the German shot-stopper was informed of his situation by the Blaugrana coach. As had been rumored for several hours, Flick told the German that he will not be the starting goalkeeper next season, according to Sport.

Flick has opted to go with Joan Garcia as his first-choice keeper and Wojciech Szczesny as the backup. Ter Stegen, however, won't be forced out. The Culers will respect his decision if he chooses to stay at the club despite losing his starting spot. It's worth remembering that the German goalkeeper is under contract with Barça until 2028.
