Nottingham Forest are third in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier after a 3-1 win over Derby County at the City Ground.
Northern Premier
Nottingham Forest 3-1 Derby County (Att: 5,082)
Charlotte Greengrass netted either side of a Niamh Reynolds goal for a 3-0 lead over the Rams, who pulled a late goal back. Forest are now three points behind leaders Wolves but with one game in hand.
Southern Premier
London Bees 1-2 Gillingham (Att: 103)
Gillingham climbed out of the bottom two with victory away to London Bees. Maddie Farrand’s opener for the Gills brought a long-range reply from Lisa Milliken, before a Georgia Griffin strike hit the bar and was judged to have crossed the line and complaints from keeper Megen Lynch led to her dismissal.
Division 1 Midlands
Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-1 Sporting Khalsa (Att: 202) Stourbridge 10-1 Long Eaton United (Att: 172)
Stourbridge extended their lead at the top to nine points, Lyndsey Glover with three of their ten goals.
Doncaster came from behind to beat Sporting Khalsa 2-1 to leapfrog them in the table and go second. Angell Craig-Tapper got the first goal, Jess Andrew equalised with a penalty and with five minutes left Sophie Scargill forced in the decider.
Division 1 South East
Chesham United 3-2 Norwich City (Att: 35) Hounslow 0-11 Ashford Town (Att: 55)
Chesham were the first to defeat second-placed Norwich City, Gemma Fraser bagging a brace and Emma Delves their other goal, while Becca Russell converted from the spot for the Canaries and Natasha Snelling netted their second, with a late would-be leveller ruled out.
Ashley Cheatley hit a double hat-trick in a big win at basement side Hounslow. Meanwhile, promoted Wymondham Town have withdrawn from the league.
Division 1 South West
AFC Bournemouth 1-2 Cardiff City LFC (Att: 219)
Cardiff City Ladies won away to third-placed Bournemouth for a seventh straight victory, which saw them take back the leadership from Exeter City. Emily Poole and Kerry Bartlett had them two up at the break, Lucy Cooper pulled one back for the Cherries.
