Portsmouth overcame a half-time deficit against Hashtag United to defeat them 2-1 in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.

Portsmouth came from behind to knock Hashtag United off the top of table no goal-difference and still have two games in hand. Macey Nicholls netted for Hashtag, Nicole Barrett and Emma Jones replied for Pompey in the second half. Third-placed Rugby Borough overcame Cardiff City Ladies, Oxford United are up to fourth after winning by the odd goal in five at Chatham where Zoe Barratt’s second-half hat-trick came in a nine-minute spell. Billericay Town beat basement side London Bees for their first home win.

Loughborough Lightning stayed top after getting the only goal at Northampton, Boldmere, Sporting Khalsa and Peterborough United all won to keep up the pressure. Matilda Hallas-Potts ninth-minute goal was enough to give Sheffield FC victory over Notts County and lift them off the bottom, at the expense of Leafield. Lincoln City’s Leah Hardy was sent off but her side stayed a point ahead of Leek, who drew with them 1-1.

Durham Cestria abruptly ended Barnsley WFC’s unbeaten record, Hull City and Middlesbrough also gained ground on the leaders. Stockport’s point at Doncaster lifted them ahead of Leeds on goal-difference, Norton’s 5-1 victory at Chorley put them within two points of their hosts.

AFC Wimbledon saw of AFC Sudbury to move five points clear, Ashlee Hincks hit a hat-trick as the Dons fought back to win. Norwich’s game was abandoned due to a serious injury, with them leading 3-2 in the dying minutes at Cambridge United. The Canaries were overtaken by Worthing , whose Shannon Albuery got the only goal of the game. Chesham and QPR both won away by four-goal margins, Actonians by three.
