FA Women’s National League newcomers Real Bedford are among those with two wins from two games, promoted Exeter City posting another clear victory.

Northern Premier Division

Derby County 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers Hull City 0-1 Stoke City Nottingham Forest 7-0 Sporting Khalsa Rugby Borough 3-1 Liverpool Feds Stourbridge 1-3 Burnley (Att: 80) West Bromwich Albion 4-0 Halifax (Att: 108)

Rugby, Burnley, Forest and Wolves are the top four in that order, after all four made it back-to-back wins to start the campaign. Borough saw off Liverpool Feds 3-1 set up by Angelina Nixon’s first-half double, the Clarets had to overturn a half-time deficit to win 3-1 at Stourbridge, Wanderers won 2-1 at Derby where the hosts Ellie May and visitors Anna Morphet were show red cards late on, Morphet missing a penalty but converting an earlier spot-kick. There were seven different scorers as Nottingham overcame Sporting Khalsa at the City Ground, including Mollie Green.

West Brom are on four points after putting four goals past Halifax with Ash Brown getting the first two, Stoke got off the mark with the only goal at Hull.

Southern Premier Division

Watford 1-0 Billericay Town (Att: 190) Gwalia United 1-0 AFC Wimbledon (Att: 200) Ipswich Town 2-0 Hashtag United (Att: 631) Lewes 0-4 Exeter City (Att: 616) Milton Keynes Dons 0-5 Cheltenham Town Plymouth Argyle 1-3 Oxford United (Att: 726)

Promoted Exeter stayed top of the pile on goal-difference, winning 4-0 at Lewes where Sarah Stacey struck twice in the first quarter of the game. Cheltenham and Ipswich are also still on maximum points after two games, the Robins putting five past MK Dons with two by Una Lue, the tractor Girls 2-0 winners over Hashtag. Oxford came from one down at the break at Home Park to defeat Plymouth, Lachante Paul scored 17 minutes into her Watford debut to beat Billericay

It also ended 1-0 at Gwalia United, where Emily Poole’s corner curled into the Wimbledon net. The Dons had Leeta Rutherford dismissed in stoppage time.

Division 1 Midlands

Barnsley Women 1-3 Leafield Athletic Lincoln United 1-1 Solihull Moors (Att: 132) Loughborough Lightning 8-0 Notts County (Att: 129) Northampton Town 4-2 Worcester City (Att: 121) Peterborough United 8-0 Lincoln City (Att: 191) Sutton Coldfield Town 0-1 Boldmere St Michaels (Att: 132)

Loughborough, Peterborough and Leafield are the three sides to continue winning starts, Lightning and the Posh both netting eight times with a hat-trick for the latter’s Katie Middleton, Evie Gallop was at the double as Athletic won at Barnsley Women.

Evie Billingsley got the only goal as Boldmere edged the derby at Sutton Coldfield, Amy Copsley’s equaliser for Lincoln United earned them their first ever point in the league after Macey Winters had put Solihull ahead, Northampton won 4-2 against Worcester City with Jade Bell notching a telling double.

Only Chorley and Huddersfield have won their opening two games, Millie Fitzpatrick made one and scored another as the former overturned Doncaster’s advantage to win 2-1, the Terriers defeating Stockport thanks to a Charlotte Stuart effort.

Leeds won 3-1 at Fylde after trailing at the break, Cheadle Town’s first ever FAWNL points came in style when hitting York for six as Rachel Dunlop and Jess Gillin each bagged a brace. Durham Cestria scored in the first minute through Anna Soulsby but Kim Brown’s solo effort claimed a point for Barnsley FC, Louise Atkinson put Norton ahead in the Teesside derby but Middlesbrough drew courtesy of Ellen Turnbull’s leveller.

Division 1 South East

Actonians 1-0 Chatham Town (Att: 63) AFC Sudbury 1-0 Queens Park Rangers Ashford Town 1-3 Chesham United London Bees 2-3 Real Bedford (Att: 156) London Seaward 0-1 Dulwich Hamlet (Att: 120) Norwich City 2-0 Cambridge United (Att: 339)

Debutants Real Bedford have two wins from two, likewise Norwich and Actonians. Bedford had to hold on at London Bees whose fightback fell just short as the visitors edged it 3-2, the Canaries beat Cambridge and Actonians got the sole goal against Chatham. Sudbury sank QPR with a late Jess Allen goal, Ede Buchele’s effort brought Dulwich three points from London Seaward and Chesham won away at Ashford.

AFC Bournemouth, Moneyfields and Swindon each have six points from two games, the Cherries were 2-1 winners over Worthing with Alisha Buckingham’s first-half penalty the decider, Moneyfields made the breakthrough at Abingdon seven minutes from time, one goal was enough for Town to defeat Bournemouth Sports. Keeley Banfield’s fourth-minute goal saw Bridgwater to victory at Maidenhead, Portishead and Keynsham drew one apiece.
