Billericay Town and Liverpool Feds won FA Women’s National League titles, Newcastle United missed out but were watched by over 22,000.

A draw for Nottingham Forest was enough to lift them two places to fourth, Stoke took ninth places with their win over West Brom taking them above Loughborough, who lost at champions Wolves.

Oxford United clinched the runners-up spot with the only goal at Gillingham from Carly Johns, Ipswich had to settle for third after defeat at Portsmouth. MK Dons stayed up after beating Keynsham but Cardiff’s defeat at champions Southampton saw them go down.

Doncaster took second place with an away win over Solihull Moors, Sporting Khalsa’s 5-2 win at Peterborough saw them advance two places to sixth.

Newcastle United won in front of a 22,000 crowd at St James’ Park but Liverpool Feds clinched the title, sending FC United down in the process. Durham Cestria secured a fifth-placed finish with a 5-1 win on the road, Leeds ending just behind them after a similar result.

Billericay snatched the title from Hashtag United in their final game, which was their tenth straight league win. QPR beat Norwich in Loftus Road to ensure fourth position, ahead of West London rivals Actonians.
