Charlton Athletic won 2-0 away to Bristol City to climb above them into third place in the FA Women’s Championship table.

Charlton leapfrog Bristol

Charlton Athletic went third with a good 2-0 result away to Bristol City, were they scored in either half.

Lois Heuchan’s fantastic finish into the top corner from a cross by Elise Hughes put them ahead on 25 minutes, Hughes finding the net herself inside the final 20 minutes.

Liverpool put four past Palace

A Yana Daniels first-half double helped Liverpool to a big 4-0 win at Crystal Palace. Katie Stengel also struck before half-time and Rachel Furness completed the scoring midway through the second period.

London City leave it late

London City Lionesses remained second but had to wait until the 81st minute for the breakthrough at Coventry United. Kenni Thompson got the only goal to keep her side within seven points of the leaders, with one game still in hand.

Blades peg back Durham

Sheffield United earned a draw at Durham with a late leveller cancelling out the hosts penalty. Beth Hepple was brought down in the box after 24 minutes and got up to convert the resulting spot-kick.

Emily Roberts and Rio Hardy both hit the woodwork in quick succession for the Wildcats, Hardy also hit home a free-kick only for the flag to go up for offside, before a Rebecca Rayner half-volley was deflected into the bottom corner.

Two off as Lewes beat Black Cats

Izzy Dalton scored in the opening five minutes, Ellie Mason the last five minutes of the first half. Lewes had Freda Ayisi sent off early in the second half but Sunderland were unable to get back into the game, they themselves seeing Grace McCatty dismissed late on.

Hornets hold Rovers

Watford moved eleven points clear of last place after taking a point from the home game with Blackburn Rovers.
