Farris: Inter Milan satisfied with Atalanta draw
Tribal Football
Inter Milan management were satisfied after their 0-0 draw against Atalanta.
Inter assistant coach Massimiliano Farris spoke after the game after Simone Inzaghi had shouted himself hoarse.
“I bring Inzaghi's best wishes, at least that's what he tried to tell me with gestures," smiled Farris.
“He hadn't quite fully recovered from Wednesday (when Inter beat Juventus in extra time to win the Supercoppa Italiana) and so asked me to come here and speak to you.
“We tried to build out from the back and keep the ball more, as we came off 120 very tough minutes and it's not easy to face Atalanta even when you are fresh.
“It was a good game of football, we are satisfied with the performance, but also have regrets because there were the chances to bring home all three points.
“We respect that Atalanta put in a fine performance, but Inter also showed that we are a great team. Our intention is to keep the ball, but we never want that possession to be sterile."
