Who should you be considering for your FPL team ahead of City's trip to Aston Villa?

Pep Guardiola's men travel to Villa Park on Wednesday 1 December, with kick-off scheduled for 20:15 (UK).

After claiming five wins from five matches across November, City will be keen to maintain our rich vein of form as the hectic winter period approaches.

We currently sit just one point off the Premier League summit after Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United at the weekend.

The Portuguese grabbed one goal and an assist in his first six outings, but has since produced a further three goals and an assist in his subsequent six appearances.

Strikes against Burnley, Manchester United and Everton in that recent run have taken the midfielder to 59 points, second only to the 80 of Joao Cancelo (£6.7m) for City.

The underlying statistics further highlight Bernardo’s influence on Pep Guardiola’s attack.

His 10 chances created were joint-top with Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m), while his nine shots in the box and five shots on target both ranked among the top three.

Opponent to watch

Ollie Watkins (£7.4m) is the main danger for Villa, having scored in each of their last two home matches.

Top two: Only Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez picked up more FPL points than Watkins' 168 across the 2020/21 campaign.
