Onefootball’s Blaise Bourgeois (#2,637 in the World) gets you prepared for blank game week (BGW) 35.

It’s that time of year, the final BGW. There are only 12 teams in action, so if you haven’t used your free hit, there’s no point saving it for later.

Now that it’s GW35, every purchase you make is for the rest of the season. You really want to pick up players that play both in the BGW and the double game week (DGW) in GW37. Only five teams have five matches to play (Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle, West Ham, Swansea) with Bournemouth the lone team in the PL that has three (that means stay away, guys!) With that being said, it’s on to what you’re really here for.

Who to buy for GW35

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) – Forward (£10.7)

Every single point matters right now for Arsenal and Aubameyang is in blistering-hot form with six goals and two assists in eight PL appearances. As long as Burnley remain hot on Arsenal’s heels, I can’t imagine Aubameyang getting any rest whatsoever from here on out. DGW 37 v Burnley and at Leicester will surely make up for any shortage of points a trip to Old Trafford may deliver.

Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City) – Forward (£10.1)

I normally don’t go with such mainstream picks in these articles but these two forwards cannot be ignored. With Sergio Agüero out and the Premier League title already secured, it’s likely that Gabriel Jesus will get five matches to prove himself to fans before the World Cup that he can carry the load up top.

City have as easy of a schedule as any other team in the Premier League – Swansea (H), West Ham (A), Huddersfield (H), Brighton (H), Southampton (A) – but be wary toward the end as Pep Guardiola may opt to see what the youngsters have.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) – Midfield (£6.8m)

It’s really easy to forget how big of a fantasy impact that Aaron Ramsey has had this season. Ramsey has scored an incredible 5.5 fantasy points-per-match and Arsène Wenger has declared him available for this weekend’s match against West Ham.

It’s tough to imagine another player out there with a ceiling as high as Ramsey’s for the rest of the season. He’s scored six goals and provided eight (fantasy) assists in 18 starts this season. If he gets the nod at all in the final five matches, he’ll have a very big chance to deliver.

Blaise’s Picks:

I’m coming off a very nice 99 point DGW34 where I played my bench boost to give me an extra 23 points. (Thank you Trent Alexander-Arnold.)

This week’s substitution is a bit of a head-scratcher. My first instinct was to immediately substitute Marcos Alonso but there are a few factors that made me consider otherwise. First, he’s already served the first of his three-match ban and another will be for the FA Cup.

That means he’ll only be suspended for the PL match against Swansea next week. Second, Chelsea are very much fighting for fourth place and are sure to play their strongest XI in every match. Third, I have many gaps in my squad with only six of my 15 players in the BGW, so I have the power to replace any position this week.

I said this last BGW, paying four points for players are very worth it. You’re scoring 0 points regardless with your non-existent players, so take a gamble or two or three.

I really don’t trust Leicester’s form after they lost that huge match against Burnley and followed it up with an uninspired home draw against Southampton. I’m subbing out all three of my Leicester players in addition to Christopher Schindler.

I’m taking a huge risk with Yannick Bolasie but if he’s going to ever contribute offensively, it’ll be in this final stretch of matches where he’ll be allowed much more freedom than he’s seen all year.

Aubameyang earns the captaincy, for now, as Salah may be a last-second switch.
